Barnsley town and the villages
Barnsley itself is hilly and a lot of it is terraced. Kingstone, Worsbrough Common, Ardsley, Stairfoot and Kendray in S70, Athersley, Monk Bretton, Lundwood and Smithies in S71: on-street collections on slopes, which we do every week with a lorry that carries the kit for a car with no handbrake on a hill. How we get there
We come in on the A635 through the Dearne Valley or the A633 from Wath, so the east side of the borough is very quick for us and the town centre and west side not much slower. Next working day is normal; Wombwell, Darfield and Hoyland are often same day. Pick a day when you book and we ring to confirm it and whether it will be morning or afternoon.
Vans from the M1 estates
The trading estates off the M1 at Dodworth and Redbrook, around Carlton and Royston, and on the Dearne Valley side at Wombwell and Goldthorpe send us a lot of vans. We collect vans up to 3.5 tonnes free, weigh them properly at the yard, and can invoice a business for the books.
Nobody between you and the yard
We are a local Authorised Treatment Facility, not a comparison site, so the price on your quote is what we pay, by bank transfer once the car is checked in at our yard (same day for collections before 3pm, next working day after that), and nothing comes off it on the day unless the car is not as described. MOT failures, non-runners, write-offs, cars that have sat for years: condition affects the price, never whether we will take it. The Certificate of Destruction is issued from our own DVLA login and we tell the DVLA you are no longer the keeper. No V5C? Photo ID and proof of address are all the law asks us to check.
