Back-to-backs, permit zones and estate parking
A lot of inner Leeds is back-to-back terraces — Harehills, Beeston, Holbeck, Burley, Armley — with on-street parking, permit zones and some very narrow turns. We collect there constantly. Tell us where the car is parked, whether it rolls, and whether there is a permit scheme, and the driver brings the right lorry and comes at a sensible hour. On the estates at Seacroft, Middleton, Belle Isle and Gipton it is usually a drive or a hardstanding and a quick load.

The estates along the Aire and the canal — Hunslet, Stourton, Cross Green, Armley Road, Kirkstall Road — send us vans and fleet vehicles every week. We collect vans up to 3.5 tonnes at the same free collection, weigh them properly at the yard and can invoice your business.
One firm, from quote to certificate
You are dealing with the yard, not a comparison site. The price on your quote is what we pay, by bank transfer once the car has been checked in at our yard: same day if we collect before 3pm, next working day if later; the only time it changes is if the car turns out not to be what you told us. We are an Authorised Treatment Facility in Mexborough, so the car is depolluted and recycled at our own site, the Certificate of Destruction is issued from our own DVLA login, and the DVLA is told you are no longer the keeper. We take MOT failures, non-runners and insurance write-offs as readily as anything else — condition affects the price, never whether we come. No V5C? Photo ID and proof of address are all the law asks us to check.

- Yes, all of it, and collection is free. South, east and west Leeds are on our regular runs; the far north — beyond Moortown, Horsforth and Adel — is a longer drive, and that is already allowed for in the price the site shows for your postcode, never added on the day. - My car is in a back-to-back street in Harehills with no drive. Is that a problem?
- No — that describes half our Leeds collections. Tell us the street and whether the car moves, and the driver brings the shorter lorry and the winch kit and comes when the street is quiet.

- No — paying cash for scrap vehicles has been illegal in England and Wales since 2013. We pay by bank transfer to the registered keeper once the car is checked in at our yard — the same day for collections before 3pm, next working day after that.
